To begin the admissions process, fill out a New Student Application. After clicking the link,  you will be prompted to create an account in our Blackbaud Family Hub to complete the application. It should take about 30 minutes to fill out. A separate application needs to be submitted for each prospective student. There is a $75 processing fee to submit the application. 

The following documents are required for each applicant: 

• Birth Certificate (PK-12th Grade)
• Immunization Records (PK-12th Grade)
• Most Recent Report Card (2nd-9th Grade Only)
• Official School Transcripts (10th-12th Grade Only)

Family Interview: At this step in the admissions process, one of our administrators will meet with a parent/guardian of each candidate for a New Family Interview. Since TCA is a covenantal school, we require that one parent/guardian is a Christian and that this parent/guardian be the primary parent that The Christian Academy partners with during the student(s) time at TCA. With this in mind, the parent/guardian described must also be the one present for the interview. This meeting helps us to learn more about how each family lives out their faith and to discuss what our future partnership could look like. 

Entrance Exam: With the exception of preschool, every candidate is required to complete an entrance exam before an acceptance decision can be made.  Kindergarten and 1st Grade candidates will take an age appropriate, observation-based assessment while 2-12th grade candidates will take a computer based test which assesses math and reading ability. A "Meet and Greet" is required for all preschool candidates.

After the interview and entrance exam, our school administrators will make the official acceptance decision and communicate this decision to our admissions team. The admissions coordinator will send out a formal notice of the acceptance decision via email to the family as soon as the decision has been made. Decisions typically are made within 48 hours of the test/interview but can take longer during the height of our summer admissions season. 

Please Note: In the event acceptance is denied, we do not reveal specific reasons as to why a family is not accepted to TCA or release documentation/discuss any specifics of the admissions process or the decision made. Admission decisions are not made lightly. Our admissions process is competitive, and we carefully evaluate each applicant based on numerous factors.

If a candidate is offered acceptance, we will contact you and a contract will be offered. The family should then complete the contract and make arrangements to pay all tuition and fees. Click here to learn more about tuition and fees.

Information about arranging transportation, uniforms, school supply list, important dates, and purchasing lunch will be provided once the contract is signed. 

A biblical worldview is integrated into the TCA culture and every classroom, stage, athletic field,  HR decision, and board meeting. Our desire is that our family/school partnership is rooted in our statement of faith and in word and deed. As a result, we require that one parent/guardian is a Christian and that this parent/guardian be the primary parent that The Christian Academy partners with during the student(s) time at TCA. At TCA, we work hard to pour into our students spiritually through our Bible classes, weekly chapels, retreats, etc. so we expect our families to prioritize the same spiritual commitment at home. For this reason, TCA requires that our families regularly attend church.

The entrance exam is not the sole factor determining if a student is accepted. The New Student Application, New Family Interview, and the Entrance Exam are all considered in the acceptance decision.

To enroll in the Pre-K program, a student must turn 3 years before October 1 and be fully potty trained. Kindergarten students must be age 5 by October 1 of that school year to be considered for admission. Click here to learn more about our Early Childhood Program.

The admissions process can take two weeks or more, depending on the time of year. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to make this process as smooth and efficient for your family. 

TCA requires all students to wear uniforms. Uniforms can be purchased onsite or through our school store online. The onsite school store is open on Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 8am to 8:30am. Learn more about uniforms.

Current TCA families can earn a $250 tuition credit by inviting and new families to enroll their children at TCA. The referring family will receive a $250 tuition credit for each new family who enrolls a full-time student. Thee new family must list the current TCA family referral by name on the New Student Application.

• Former TCA families returning to the school and new students from current families do not count as referrals.
• The referral bonus does not include students enrolled in our homeschool partnership.
• The new student must be enrolled for at least 90 days before the tuition credit is applied. For new students enrolled in the fall, the tuition credit will be applied in January.
